1st Floor Shop

The exhibition and shop space, featuring products produced by members of our cooperative, has a wide variety of items, with over 800 pieces available at all times. From tableware such as chopsticks and bowls, to trays, tables, and chests of drawers, you are sure to find the piece you’ve been looking for.

2nd Floor Historical Museum

This exhibition area allows you to experience the history of Kawatsura lacquerware and its techniques that have been passed down through the generations for 800 years. Admission is free.

Hands-on Experience
Workshops

The Kawatsura Lacquerware Traditional Crafts Center offers hands-on experience workshops of chinkin and maki-e. Everyone, from children to adults, is welcome to participate in these workshops. Please enjoy making a one-of-a-kind original piece.
